Why Abilene, why now
Dallas has fifty masajid. Abilene has one room with church pews in it.
Your zakat and sadaqah do real work anywhere. But there are places where a dollar is the difference between a community existing and not. This is one of them.

Friday attendance in one year
When the musallah opened, ten to fifteen people came for Jummah. Now it’s eighty-five to ninety, and families are still arriving.

Abilene is a mid-sized city of 130,000 with no big city nearby. If this masjid doesn’t get built, there is no other one to drive to.
The building
We have the building. Now we have to close on it.
It’s a modest, solid building on a corner lot with parking for forty cars. The pews come out, the carpet goes down, a mihrab goes in. We’re showing you the real thing, because that’s what your money is buying.
